What you wear to your next job interview might be more important than you think.
Whether you like it or not, your appearance is the first thing people notice about you.

Wearing appropriate interview cloting goes a long way towards creating a positive image.
Your, education, life experiences, skills and character should be the ultimate criteria for judging you as a police officer candidate; however, in reality, exterior impressions play a significant role.
Putting your best-dressed foot forward is fairly simple and straightforward and can be applied to male or female candidates:
- Wear clean, ironed clothing that fit well.
- Wear conservative colors: dark blues, black, browns and greys.
- Your hair must be neatly groomed.
- If you have long hair, were a french braid or low bun
- Wear minimal jewelry.
- Many buildings are scent-free, so don't wear colonge or perfume.
- Wear black or brown leather shoes that are a simple style, clean and polished.
- Wear make-up appropriate to daytime business.
