Want to be a Police Officer? Get an education and good grades.
Getting an education is worth the money.
Some believe that you do not need post a secondary education to become a police officer in Ontario. Strictly speaking, that is true. However, realistically police services are looking for police officers with varying life experiences. Education is a life experience. A degree or diploma helps you to develop the required competencies.
Another misnomer is that all you need is the degree or diploma, and that your grades do not matter. This is not true. Your grades do matter. Police services require that you submit a copy of your transcript.
All education is good education.
