Every person who applies to become a member of the Canadian Forces is required to complete the Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT). The reason this test is important is that it will provide your military career counsellor with information that will help him or her know which occupations you’ll be best suited for during your military service.

About the CFAT
The CFAT consists of 60 multiple-choice questions that are designed to assess your abilities in three separate areas. These include problem-solving, verbal skills, and spatial ability. There is a 45-minute time limit to finish the test, with individual time limits for each section. It’s no secret that it takes a special person to become a valued member of the Canadian military and doing your best on your CFAT is a great way to start.
